Melisa’s journey into natural health began when she experienced improvements in her own health after seeing a naturopath for digestive issues after travelling through India 20 years ago. Recognising the profound effect of diet on health led her to follow this passion and complete an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine in 2010 and Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy in 2012.

Melisa has been in clinical practice since providing naturopathic and nutritional medicine support in Adelaide’s North Eastern Suburbs for digestive complaints (IBS, Coeliac Disease, IBD, Small Intestinal bacterial overgrowth and food sensitivities), weight loss, hormone imbalances and adrenal fatigue.

As a busy mother of three teenage boys, she appreciates the challenges women face today with prioritising their own health alongside work, study and raising a family. She is passionate about helping women to reach their full health potential by educating them on food choices which will help with energy levels and hormone balance so that they can thrive in today’s busy world.  This has a ripple effect as then they then go on to share what they have learned to friends and family about nutrition and how it helped with their health and wellbeing.

In 2013, Melisa became a Metabolic Balance® Practitioner so that she could offer her clients a more individualised and scientific approach to weight loss. The program aligns with naturopathic whole foods principles providing a good balance of protein, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates to help restore metabolism and reduce inflammation whilst losing weight.

Melisa is a lecturer and clinic supervisor at Endeavour College of Natural Health. She also holds regular health information sessions for the public at the clinic where she practices from and presents for various organisations.
